Clients, Consulting & Projects
Over the last two decades, TMC Founder Roy Montibon is a known leader in strategy, brand building, management, technology
integration, marketing, communications and creative direction across all media. Roy has decades of direct experience with
photography as an artist, designer, art direction and creative director and has also been a digital imaging and media
practitioner since making his major first investment in an industrial computer graphics workstation in 1982.
Roy has over 25 years experience working with educational institutions, Fortune 1000 corporations, major consulting firms,
high-tech start ups, arts organizations, state and municipal governments and non-profits. Roy's role has taken many forms—
as consultant, corporate executive, entrepreneur, educator and community organizer.
Roy has contributed design, art direction, creative direction, technical direction and/or experience design to print,
video, exhibit and/or online projects for PacBell, Beckman Laser Institute, Hitachi Medical Imaging, Texas Instruments, JVC,
RainBird International, UCLA Capital Programs, Northern Telecom, American Express, BBDO, GE Credit Corporation, The Orange
County Business Journal, University of Phoenix, CalFed Bank, Photonic Data Security, Hyundai Motor America and Toyota Motor
Sales.
TMC also provided creative direction in the development of a high-end mobile data security product. This product has been
certified by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology) and approved for government and military use by JITC
(Joint Interoperability Test Command), whose mission is to "support the warfighter in their efforts to manage information
on and off the battlefield". For this project, Roy was involved in strategic planning; design of the product housing;
information architecture and design for the software; corporate and product identity and branding; packaging design;
marketing and messaging.
With a group of leading scientists, researchers and professors, Roy is providing creative direction for the development of
a new, dynamic visual language and the viewing/authoring tools for that language.
The Montibon Company has provided creative and technical direction for projects including online content publishing,
syndication modules, lead-tracking, e-commerce, SEO, online marketing analysis, social media platform integration,
CMS and CRM interface and database design.
He has also served as Creative Director for prototypes and pilots for: an online mystery contest based upon western
gold mining history; GolfersLife, (an international online golf expo hosted by Senior Tour golfer Chi Chi Rodriguez);
and Romantica, (a prototype online showcase for limited-edition art, handmade crafts and home furnishings).
Corporate Management
Roy is currently serving as Associate Producer for a documentary television mini-series, Law of the Land, which is
focused on the American Indian struggle for economic empowerment, self-determination and sovereignty. Interviews with
Indian leaders will be combined with quality recreations of historic events and breathtaking panoramas of Indian Country.
The mini-series will feature American Indian people in all aspects of production, both in front of, and behind, the camera.
Led by Steve Cadue, the Tribal Chairman and spiritual leader of the Kickapoo Nation, the mini-series is being produced
in coordination with the Institute of American Indian Arts.
As Vice-President of Creative and Technology for UltraNet Media, LLC, Roy was involved in designing and building a career
planning, career development and educational platform to address the appalling secondary and post-secondary drop out rates
and lifetime career drift that plagues our nation. This project makes use of state-of-the-art database technologies.
As Creative Director for Key3Media Events, Roy oversaw creative teams in Los Angeles and Boston; guided design, development
and database initiatives for COMDEX, Seybold Seminars and Networld + Interop websites; worked directly with CEO Fred Rosen
on special projects; and worked with Cap Gemini/Ernst & Young consultants and internal technical teams on IBM WebSphere-based
CRM systems integration.
As Customer Experience Architect for CarsDirect.com, Roy developed the American Highways road trip promotion series featuring
Porsche and Mercedes Benz vehicles; provided information architecture for the Drive Like a King promotion featuring Richard
Petty; and directed a variety of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) integration initiatives.
Entrepreneural Activity
Roy currently President of The Montibon Company, LLC, a strategic consulting and creative direction firm for identity, brand
development, marketing and communications. Along with partner Julie Tumblety, Roy is also the Co-Founder and Creative Director
of Royal Mastodon Society, LLC, an art space, design showroom and performance venue, and Sanctuary Studios, an art space and
event venue.
He is also working with a hand picked team of audio and electronics professionals to develop an international high-end audio,
home theater, recording studio and post-production facility design consulting group.
Over the last two decades, with his partner Janis Lyon, Roy has co-founded and served as Creative Director for Vox Mundi,
a digital media studio; New Archetype, Inc., a media property development company; and Morpheus Worldwide, LLC, an online
marketing agency.

His work and projects have been recognized and featured in the Graphis Design Annual, ID Magazine of International Design,
the Communication Arts Illustration Annual, The Los Angeles Times, Computer Graphics and Applications Magazine, Downtown LA
News, The Las Vegas Optic, The Orange County Business Journal, The Los Angeles Business Journal, and on Fox News and
ABC News broadcasts.
As a member of a small development team, Roy was recently granted a U.S. Patent for the design of a new, high-performance
data security product.
